I’m a lot behind on a bunch a things, however, I am slowly catching up. Hopefully, I can stay caught up. Probably not, but I can always try.
I am determined to get in a grove and get some consistency in my workouts no matter what chaos may hit. We all know there will be some chaos, chaos somewhere.
This weeks goals:
1. Complete all planned workouts. – I have some great workouts planned, but I have struggled to get them done. I’m going to get them done, even if I have to recruit the boys to help.
2. No eating out for me. – Overall, I’m trying to get back to healthy eating, not just for me, but for everyone. It has been met with some resistance. The boys have especially enjoyed the crap food, but I know they will feel better if some of that stuff disappeared from their diet. However, I am going to be realistic and say that sometimes this mommy needs a break from the kitchen.
3. Track all my meals. – I was most successful with my weight loss when I was tracking my food. It is a great way to give me some perspective on how many calories, fat, proteins and carbs are in some food. Many times just seeing what was in something made me think twice before I ate it.
I’m ready to get everything on track again. I’m tired of feeling like crap. I’m ready for change.

Last week my goal was to keep the weight off that I lost while on vacation at the beach. I am super happy to say that I did it!
However, I will have to say that I am going to have to be careful. I was so tired by the end of the week that I made some poor food choices and I paid for it. Mainly physically. My stomach just can not handle the same stuff anymore.
This weeks goal is to get back to lifting. Over the past three weeks, between the boys soccer camp, being on vacation and adjusting to our new schedule I haven’t lifted and I miss it.
Cardio is my way to get away for a little bit from all the noise that is in my house. It give me time to think. Oddly, it relaxes me and help me to be ready to battle the day.
Lifting has made me feel stronger. Like I can handle more. It also has helped me with the many aches and pain disappear.

While I have been known to set monthly goals, lately I have been setting one weekly goal. Something that will give me a focus for the week. One small thing that I want to accomplish.
While I was on vacation, I set a goal to maintain my weight for the week. It made me more conscious of what I was eating as well as making sure I got out and exercised. Over the week, I actually lost weight.
This week, as we return to reality, I have a simple goal of not gaining back the weight I lost over the break.
Our week will be a little bit crazier than normal as we adjust to having soccer practice every night of the week and I have to figure out how to get everyone fed. We also have to get back into our homeschooling routine. I am also still trying to get everything caught up from being on vacation. With all that stress, I know my goal needs to be simple.
Yes, I am running with that damn triple stroller again.
My running partners tonight at Thing 1’s practice. Tomorrow night I will just switch Thing 2 for Thing 1.

Last week I was on vacation. Yay! Before I left for vacation, I set a goal for the week. My goal was simple, don’t gain any weight.
One reason I love going to the beach each year is that I get to run on flat ground. There are no hills! So I try to run each morning. This year was no exception. Thing 4 and I hit the road every morning. I ended up running over 20 miles last week.
All that running, and being conscious of what I was eating, I actually managed to lose 3.5 pounds over the week. Score!
I know that to many people it sounds crazy, but I have noticed over the last few months that on the days I don’t get out and run/move in the morning, I am so much more tired during the day. I can’t really afford to be tired with 4 kids, especially when I am responsible for homeschooling them each day. Thankfully, I think the boys realize that too and have been pretty good about letting Thing 4 and I get out and get moving every morning.
