Thing 4 is now 3 weeks and 5 days old and I have been going stir crazy. Actually I started going stir crazy after the first week. I was active up until the day I delivered, so having to “rest” is not easy for me. Not to mention that I missed my daily endorphin high. Thus, with my easy delivery and recovery I have been itching to get moving.
Last week it finally stopped raining, so I decided it was time to get out and go for a walk. So I put Thing 4 in the triple stroller and went for a short walk. My goal was to get her to last 1 mile in the stroller. We got there but that was all we got.
Last Thursday I was able to get up to 1.5 miles with the help of 3 sweet boys. That was a heavy freaking stroller.
Today Thing 4 and I made it 2 miles before I needed to stop to feed her. Too bad I had to stop because I felt she would have made it farther. I guess I will get there soon enough.
Here is what I have been able to do.
11.8 – 2 weeks old (Thing 4’s due date)
11.9 – 1 mile
11.11 – 1.55 miles
11.12 – 1.59 miles
11.15 – 3 weeks old
11.18 – Weights (triceps & biceps)
11.19 – 2 miles
One benefit of starting to workout again is that I am much happier. My husband even commented tonight how much happier I am after a workout. So here is to getting my booty in motion again.
