{Wednesday Weigh In} : 4.17.13

So, for some reason I forgot to write out my weigh in post last week.  Ooops!  Well, to be honest I stayed at 192 for the week.  Not a loss like I was hoping, but at least I didn’t gain.

Wednesday Weigh In

On to this week…

After a little to much indulgence with guests in town and my son’s 6th birthday, I managed to gain a pound, back up to 193.  However, I am taking it in stride, because I know it is something I can fix.

Although, I did gain a pound, I did learn something for my experiences this past weekend.

First, I learned that my food preferences are changing.  We went to one of our favorite Tex-Mex restaurant for dinner Saturday after the boys soccer game.  My stomach use to be able to handle Tex-Mex in any shape or form.  However, despite ordering a salad with fajita chicken on top, my stomach protested later that day.  My body has become accustomed to the high quality foods that I have been feeding it lately, that it couldn’t handle the rest.

Also, I learned that my sweet tooth isn’t nearly as sweet as it once was.  Cupcakes, cakes and frosting were a weakness.  I could eat frosting straight from the container.  However, that has changed too.  I was hardly able finish the one cupcake that I had made.  It was just too sweet.  Too much.

It was the first time that I realized just how much my tastes have changed and although I am not dropping weigh super fast, I am making changes that are going to make me healthier.

Hopefully, next week I will have some great news to report!
