{Weigh In & Workouts} : Kids Get Involved

This week I am still stuck, but that blueberry cobbler I made probably didn’t help at all. However, I have good news, I have actually started my weight lifting program.  Hopefully in a few weeks I will be able to bust through this plateau.

I am a little over four weeks out from my first triathlon and things are going well.  The last two Sundays I have completed the whole triathlon distance and I am feeling good about the whole thing.  Training for a triathlon has been a fun change of pace from just running every weekend.  However, I am not a big fan of lap swimming.

During the week the only training I do is running, pushing our triple jogging stroller.  I average 12 miles of running a week with the boys in the stroller.  Then there is at least one walk of some distance during the week also.

While my boys don’t always enjoy having to sit in the stroller, they do eventually get over it.  This week they have asked to get out and do stuff, like stop at the push up area that is along one of the trails.  There is nothing like a good excuse to stop   laugh   watch your boys do push ups.  Honestly, it is awesome to know that I am influencing my boys to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.

What do you are your family do together to stay active?  How is your weight loss going?
