Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon and My Plans

Today was the day of the Dallas Rock n Roll Half Marathon.  The half marathon I should have been training for since January, but I just haven’t been.  Well, my lack of training definitely showed today.  It also didn’t help that it was warm.  I finished with a time of 2:45:01.

My mom, who was running her first half marathon, however did a great job.  Her goal was between 2:45 and 3 urs.  Her official time was 2:45:02.  She might have even done better if it hadn’t been for me slowing her down.

Now onto my upcoming plans.  This past week I spent some time thinking about our beach trip in June.  Basically I have 90 days until the trip.  Which means I have 90 days to get ready to be more comfortable in a swim suit. So I have created a 90 day plan to get myself in as best shape as possible.  So for the next 90 days I am going to kick my own tail.

Monday: 1 hour bike ride (with all 3 boys), yoga and abs
Tuesday: 2 mile run, biceps and triceps, and abs
Wednesday: 1 hour bike ride, chest and back, and abs
Thursday: run 3 miles, legs, and abs
Friday: 1 hour bike ride, yoga, and abs
Saturday: 4 mile run, biceps and triceps and abs
Sunday: 2 mile run, chest and back, abs

Time to get that beachier body!
