{Running} Week 1 Down

This week was the first week that I actually came close to completing my training plan.  My mom and I also finished our first longer training run together and I think we were both surprised by the pace that we were able to complete our 5 mile run.

Here was last weeks plan, and what I actually accomplished.

Mon.  Walk (45 minutes)   ran 1 mile instead
Tue.     3 miles  completed
Wed.  Walk (45 minutes)  ran 1 mile instead
Thur.     3 miles  ran 3.5 miles
Fri.     Walk (45 minutes)   off
Sat.     4 miles   ran 5 miles at 12 minutes per mile
Sun.     3 miles  oops!  I didn’t do anything.  Actually I feel pretty terrible today, so I took the day off.

Now for this week. 

Monday:  Walk (45 minutes) or >1 mile & yoga
Tuesday:  3 miles
Wednesday: Walk (45 min.) or >1 mile & yoga
Thursday:  3 miles
Friday:  Walk (30 min.) or Off & yoga
Saturday:  6 miles
Sunday:  3 miles

You might have noticed that I added yoga to the routine this week.  Yoga is something that I have wanted to do for a long time, but just haven’t done it.  I know it can be beneficial to my running and my overall health.
